This website has grown beyond anything I planned when I started it six years ago...and that's thanks to others like myself who want to share their love of the Cook Islands with a wider audience. They've kindly contributed photographs and told me of their travels or their life in the islands.

YOUR STORIES BEHIND THE PHOTOGRAPHS
They say a picture's worth a thousand words...but a few more words can help give us all an insight into the Islands through your eyes. Tell me the stories behind the pictures, like Marcel Teraimana Tua who provides a personal insight into life on Mauke by sharing photographs of his relatives who live there, and some scenes from their daily lives. Or "Capain G", skipper of the Research Vessel Bounty Bay whose logs and pictures help tell the story of uninhabited and protected Takutea and the hidden treasures of Suwarrow. And for another perspective on Suwarrow, Janna Cawrse shares photos taken by her husband on a very untypical honeymoon cruise around the Pacific. Jan Erik Johnsen from Oslo, Norway, meanwhile, gives his impressions of Mangaia. And Kerry Harding helps to discover more about what I've called "the undiscovered country" of remote Rakahanga.

Well, I'm afraid it's not cash! This is a non-commercial site so I can't pay for any photos. But I hope you can see from the pages I've already created from contributions, I will treat turn them into something which will do them justice. I will, of course, acknowledge you as the source, and the copyright of the photos will remain with you. If you have a web site of your own - provided it's suitable for viewing by all ages - I'll also happily provide a link to it. Around 20,000 people a month visit this site, so you'll be helping to share with the world the paradise that is the Cook Islands.
