VIDEOS FROM "COOK ISLANDS NEWS"
Cook Islands News, the local daily newspaper, has created two fascinating videos on very different aspects of life.   The first is about the annual cultural dance competition - islanders are passionate about dance and this is the premier event in the Islands.  The second looks back at February and March, 2005 when the Islands were battered by five cyclones in five weeks.
LET'S DANCE  This video, which is 4 minutes 52 seconds long, comes in two file sizes and both can be viewed in Windows Media Player.   It follows Oire Nikao and their drum dance preparations.   Right click on the underlined link and if you're using Internet Explorer select "save target as".   If you're using Firefox, select "save link as".
You can find out more about the dance festival in my Cook Islands calendar

CYCLONE ALERT This video is about 5 minutes long and also comes in two file sizes, again both viewable in Windows Media Player.   Right click on the underlined link and if you're using Internet Explorer select "save target as".   If you're using Firefox, select "save link as".
